'Baby When The Light'- David Guetta ( Still Shot Analysis)

I came across this video by an accident as I was searching through the Internet. I do enjoy listening to House mixed with Pop music due to the lyrics and the beat being used. However, the shot that I have used is very interesting which you would not normally find that often in any music video. The key purpose behind creating the music video is to promote and to create public awareness of the band or an artist. In this case, as the shot illustrates, the video tries not only to increase public awareness of David Guetta but also the actual album that was released two months before the music video had come out.

The visual content is obvious and directly linked to the genre of the song as well as the lyrics. The typical video of any House song, would be beach, sun and girls - which could be also seen in this music as well. However, even though David Guetta produces similar video's, the demand for his products is high as the target audience is vastly male between 16-24.

The mise-en-scene of the still shot could be separated into two parts, the props that are closer to the camera which are used to promote the album, I am entirely sure what it is, however I assume its a bar stands, and the second part would be background visuals, which is the locations and two girls.  It could be seen that the video had been shot in a warm country, and as I have done some research- Brazil is the location that was used. By having clear sky and beach would already create a beautiful scenario and set positive mood to the song. Even though there are two gorgeous actresses dancing in the shot, the eyes would concentrate to the props that are closer to camera. This had been a very interesting strategy used by the producer, by promoting two products at once.

There are two bar stands with the cover of David Guetta and his new album, however this is something I might need to consider doing as it would help my video to stand out by bringing up an original idea.
